On your doorstep

Go Exploring

Chew Valley Lake is just around the corner, always buzzing with people walking, cycling, sailing, fishing, and enjoying legendary fish&chips. Easy to keep the kids amused in the play area, and always plenty of greedy ducks to feed.

The Mendip Hills (AONB) are stunning any time of year for walking, biking, caving or just taking in the views.

You're only a 20-30 minute drive into Bath or Bristol.

If the kids need to let off some final steam before 'lights out' the village play area and fields are just behind the village hall.

Eat Out

Right by the lake you’ll find Salt & Malt, voted Best Fish & Chips at the Bristol Good Food Awards 2018

Or dine overlooking the lake at Woodford Lodge for breakfast, lunch, dinner or afternoon tea.

If dining Michelin Star is more your thing the Pony & Trap in Chew Magna is only a short distance away.

Popular with the locals, head to the Pizza Adorare van outside Chew Stoke village stores on a Saturday for delicious stone baked sourdough pizzas.

The Red Lion in the village is the place to head for pub classics and a warm welcome.

Supplies

Budgens and the little village shop (including Post Office) are both well stocked and open in the evenings.

You'll find New Manor Farm Shop at the other end of the village which also has a tea shop.

You're amongst a good scattering of Co-Ops (Chew Magna, Farrington, Marksbury).
